The Strangest Days

As I type, we are a week into ‘total lockdown’ due to Coronavirus - even writing that seems completely surreal and I haven’t got my head around the fundamental change to life that is taking place around the world. Naum Gabo at Tate St Ives

The exhibition is a carefully curated collection of preliminary maquettes, drawings, prints, architectural plans and full-scale sculptures, which capture the playful and exploratory essence of Gabo’s work. Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden

For me, the best part about the museum is the studio. It feels like Hepworth has just downed tools for the day and stepped outside for a tea break. Peering through the window into the bright space, one really appreciates why she adored St Ives so much, and why she was so prolific in this studio.
