Newlyn Art Gallery + The Exchange
The Development Team at Newlyn Exchange contacted me to discuss ideas around a project that needed some extra funding. We have worked together to devise a plan, and I have been commissioned to write an application to support the learning program www.newlynartgallery.co.uk
Anima Mundi - St Ives
I joined the team at Anima Mundi as a freelance Gallery Assistant, focusing predominantly on copy writing for exhibitions, press & marketing and artist liaison. Given the nature of the gallery and the regular turn around of shows, it was a case of ‘all hands on deck’ so I helped to plan, install and launch over 20 projects, curated by the gallery Director Joseph Clarke.
Newlyn School of Art
Henry Garfit, Director of Newlyn School of Art contacted me to discuss ways I could help with wider national press coverage of their ambitious programme of world-class art courses. Working together we built a compelling press package, and I was able to secure coverage in The Times + The Guardian.
North Coast Asylum
When this exciting online art gallery announced they were moving to Newquay, I was delighted to be able to work with them on their initial plans for PR, marketing & artist liaison. Since our first meeting in 2018, they have lovingly restored an old church in the heart of the town and they are preparing to open the doors with a group exhibition in Autumn 2020. DR2
Antony Waller from Dance Republic asked for some assistance with an Arts Council England bid for Shoreline - a county-wide dance project choreographed by Simon Birch, which took a troop of dancers & musicians to some of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches. I worked with Antony and Simon to write a successful ACE bid and we have worked together on a number of projects since.
Canvas Theatre
Rosanna Elliot, the Founder + Director of Canvas Theatre contacted me to give advice on funding for her touring play The Coastguards Daughter. We worked together on a successful ACE bid and the play sold out for the duration of its tour around Devon, Cornwall & the Scillies. See more
Susan Hay + Hay Studio
The inimitable Susan Hay asked me to help with a new season of curated shows at Hay Studio. Having always worked independently, Susan wanted someone to support her with the admin side of her ambitious programme of exhibitions, dance, music, theatre, supper clubs, live jazz + film. Susan and I worked together for over 2 years, until she relocated to Bath, and Hay Studio closed its doors for the final time in 2018.
